Eurostars Matosinhos

Plenty of choice for the continental breakfast. The beds very comfortable, and the mini bar with tea/ coffee facilities much appreciated. Loved having the use of the pool and spa, and the spa treatments were a treat. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The location was very convenient - near beach, metro and buses, and best fish restaurants.

Fantastic hotel, immaculately clean. Good facilities (pool, sauna, steam room, sensory showers). Unfortunately the sauna wouldn't get very hot on the second day (65-70) assuming this was due to a fault. Not too far from the metro, bus stations and tourist information who were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent, well presented and a good variety for all diets. If I had to pick on one thing, it would be that there was no option of porridge but there was plenty to choose from. Evening meal is by room service or in the lobby, the menu is limited to sandwiches, salads, charcuterie boards and pizza.... A bit carby for most but there are lots of restaurants in the immediate vicinity if this doesn't suit. Pedro on front desk was efficient, and friendly with a good sense of humour and excellently fluent in English. Taxi to the airport was very easily booked at the front desk and the driver Ronaldo was a pleasure to talk with. I can't really fault this hotel and I'm not very easily pleased.

This is the second time we stay in Eurostar Matosinhos as a family and we love it. It is a comfortable hotel that punches above its weight. Close to the beach and located in a street with a lot of restaurants, the hotel is quiet and functional. I find the bedrooms quite comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast has a good variety of tasty options with increasing local products. The pool is very inviting and just the right temperature. The Spa has outstanding staff - exceptionally knowledgable.

This is probably the best hotel we've encountered in a while! First, the staff is absolutely the best, they are friendly and helpful, there is always someone at the front desk. Second, the amenities are great, we loved the sauna and the beautiful pool. Third, the room is comfy, and the AC is great too! And the views are amazing, you can see the ocean and the port right there. The location is fantastic, you can walk everywhere and it's easy to explore Porto and surroundings from this location. Whatever you need is close by too: restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies. And they also have free water and snacks by the elevator! And they also give you recommendations for the local places to see. We loved it and we are very likely to come back again :)

We found the front desk staff to be friendly, welcoming and professional. They made sure we knew about local areas to explore and transportation options. The room was lovely and clean, the breakfast was delicious. We had a late flight, so the hotel staff let us know we could have late check out, and that they could keep our luggage safely until we had to leave for airport. They also let us know that we could enjoy the common areas of the hotel during the rest of the day. Very nice experience, we highly recommend Eurostars.
